How to send your first invoice in 10 minutes
New to SalesGURU? Here's the whole journey from signing up to your customer receiving a professional invoice - realistically about ten minutes, tea break included.
Minute 0–2: create your free account
Go to os.getsalesguru.com/register and enter your business name, email and phone number. No card details. Invoicing is free, and your first 14 days include Pro.
Minute 2–5: add a customer and an item
You don't need to set up your whole catalogue to send one invoice.
- Customers → Add customer. Name and phone number are enough to start.
- Items → Add item. What you sell, and the price. VAT is set here once and applied automatically after that. Saved items are part of Pro, which is included for your first 14 days.
Have everything in a spreadsheet already? Import it instead - but for the first invoice, two entries by hand is faster.
Minute 5–8: create the invoice
Hit New invoice, pick your customer, add your item(s), adjust quantities. The subtotal, VAT and total calculate themselves. Add a note if you like ("Thank you! Payment within 14 days").
Minute 8–10: send it
Press Send and share the invoice with your customer by link or WhatsApp. They can open it on any device. Your dashboard keeps every invoice you have sent, with the totals and sales reports that come free.
Keeping track of what comes back in
Recording a payment against an invoice is part of SalesGURU Pro at Rs. 1,500 a month. Pro adds estimates, payment recording, sales receipts, returns and credit notes, so at any moment you know exactly who still owes you what. For most businesses that status board is where the difference shows up in the first week.
The free plan is built for sending: unlimited invoices, one user, up to 25 customers.
What's next?
Nothing, until you want more. Keep invoicing for free forever, or add payments, POS, inventory, accounting and payroll when the business asks for it - see what each module costs.
